Shouldering the Load: Modifying Our Daily Habits to Improve Our Posture and Minimize Our Pain
Sitting long hours behind a desk and carrying a large assortment of bags and children can wreak havoc on our posture, damage our core, and cause serious neck and back pain. Kris will explore solutions to help you shoulder the load of your day.
Kris is a full time personal trainer at the National Institute for Fitness and Sport(NIFS). She holds certifications from ACSM in Personal Training and Level 1 Coaching from USA Triathlon. She also leads the Go Girl Triathlon Training program at NIFS in addition to teaching Circuit training, Small Group Training and High intensive Training classes.
Kris received her Bachelor of Science degree in Foods and Nutrition from Michigan State University while playing basketball. After college, she went to Sweden and played basketball professionally for four years and then transitioned to coaching at the collegiate level. Currently works with youth players on skill development.
Kris enjoys participating in races and triathlons. She completed a Half Ironman Triathlon and USA Triathlon Age-Group national championships in 2014.
